I love this time of year. After all the madness and excessive excess of the holiday season (and I mean that in a good way), I love the after-holiday purge. It feels so great to smash all the torn wrapping paper into the trash, rip the ornaments from the skeletal limbs of the tree, sweep the mess off the floor, organize the decorations and tuck them neatly back into the holiday closet. After all the lights and decor and scents and trinkets are gone, the main areas of the house feel incredibly clean and calm and bare. All of which draws attention to the unclean, uncalm, unbare aspects of my life. So inevitably, this time of year, this After-Christmas-Clean-Up leads to a total revamp of my entire life. I organize, evaluate, sort and refresh. Everything must be clean, calm and bare. And so you are here. The old website, not really set up for convenient blogging, was a hassle. So I'm trying something new. Please be patient while I learn the ropes! And now...time to tackle the tangled atrocity masquerading as my yarn stash. Good thing I got a ball winder for Christmas!
